30 Jan 2022 — Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios, dubbed ‘Special K’, put on a special show to land the Australian Open 2022 men’s doubles title.
The Special K’s defeated Aussies Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the #AO2022 final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men’s doubles tennis title in an all-Australian final at the 2022 Australian Open.
It was the first all-Australian men’s doubles final since Mark Edmondson and Kim Warwick downed Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee in 1980 at Kooyong, Melbourne.
