WATERMAN is an infrastructure consultant overseeing project timelines for STM Asia Pacific Construction and the Victorian State Government.
When the safety of local kids’s in his community is put at risk by train & public transport sector works around a local football oval, WATERMAN’s professionalism is tested. His work obligations are gradually eroded by internal corporate politicking and a moral duty to acknowledge his own conflicts of interest: safety, destruction of trees and works around the local train station.
Pressure builds further when WATERMAN reveals a deep personal loss.
An investigative journalist with a folio of glossy A4 photo’s confronts WATERMAN, demanding comments about alleged worksite corruption. Suspecting a whistleblower, WATERMAN is forced to seek answers from a dubious industry source. Corporate espionage. Black Ops. Call it what you want – it’s risky. It’s his job.

A landmark achievement has been released for international audiences around the globe by Wise Words Media and Callumny Films: The Contract: PROJECT Waterman.
A uniquely original concept, the mockumentary webseries specifically references an original script by SEAN McINTYRE – ‘The Contract‘.
Added to the recent launch of a new, highly innovative digital series ‘this life’, Wise Words Media and Callumny Films are making an impact statement on the undeniable economic importance of Australia’s digital and infrastructure sectors.
Essentially, The Contract: PROJECT Waterman is a ‘spin-off’ of ‘The Contract‘ – which had its public debut at A Fistful of Scripts, a script reading series, in April, 2011 (Theatre Works, St Kilda Melbourne Australia).
A Fistful of Scripts is an innovative script development incubator produced by Wise Words Media in association with Callumny Films.

PLOT OUTLINE: A flooding underpass at Blackburn Train Station for years. People just want input into the works that going on within and around their community. Let us have a voice.
PLOT SUMMARY: With the formalities of the Investor Relations Tours now completed for both investors and media, WATERMAN sets his sights on Blackburn’s Level Crossing Removal Project.
Despite an early morning distraction from ‘Kerry Kiwi’ – a very lost, somewhat toothless, yet very jovial B-Double driver – WATERMAN walks a well-trodden path for viewers through the aged and dilapidated pedestrian underpass at Blackburn Train Station. It is prone to frequent flooding, making it impassable to commuters.
While WATERMAN know’s the pedestrian underpass will be renovated and updated, the good residents of Blackburn are completely in the dark as to how this be made possible….and when.

PLOT OUTLINE: “That digger is real!! That train is real!!. WATERMAN is caught up in the excitement like a broadcaster calling the dead-heat of The Melbourne Cup.
PLOT SUMMARY: A digger straddles Blackburn’s Level Crossing. It’s DAY 1 of the 2 week shutdown of the Blackburn’s Level Crossing Removal Project.
Within mere centimetres of passing trains in both directions, the digger bores hungrily into the road. It belches huge volumes of dirt onto the roadway.
As the rain pelts down, WATERMAN is heard yelling: “These guys are a different kind of super hero!!”.

PLOT OUTLINE: It’s been a long day documenting works on the long-overdue works to revamp and revitalise drainage around Blackburn Train Station. Surgical precision, teamwork, planning, logistics, operational efficiency – it’s all there.
PLOT SUMMARY: LXRA’s ‘Men of the Earth’ are hard at it during their 2nd day of 24 hour shifts excavating a new drainage pit. With surgical precision, they install multiple layers of concrete slabs into the pit. Planning, logistics and operational efficiency – it’s all there.
The unexpected level of care of said slabs is something even WATERMAN never expected to see.
WATERMAN applauds of the professional display of teamwork and OHS safety practices playing out before him. However, WATERMAN’s rendition and retelling of ‘The reindeer in Spain…’ is hardly a crowd-stopper.

PLOT OUTLINE: Even news of an earth-quake alert – 5.3 in Cost Rica – can’t distract WATERMAN from witnessing and discovering a new game in town: the safety of local kids vs heavy vehicles in transit to worksite entry via Morton Park.
PLOT SUMMARY: WATERMAN eagerly introduces his foreign film crew to the time-honoured local tradition enjoying chips, chicken & vegie pies at the Blackburn footy club.
At Cottage St, WATERMAN encounters a local resident with news of an earth-quake alert: 5.3 …in Cost Rica.
There’s lots of kids kicking footy’s nearby. Having so far escaped his attention, a heavy vehicle passes through Morton Park interrupting WATERMAN.
Realising the safety of kids is clearly at risk, WATERMAN is shocked. There’s no traffic management of the worksite entry at the Glen Eibor Street access point to Morton Park.
